Updating Your Artwork With Desenio

When it comes to art in the home, this is something that I feel really passionately about. It is one of the main ways to really add personality to a space. You can create a lovely, calm and simple backdrop using neutral paint colours and fabrics, but when it comes to the artwork you can really go to town and add your personality to your home.

When Desenio asked me to work with them on a post about this, I jumped at the chance. They are such a fantastic website with a huge selection of very affordable prints, so the perfect way to update your walls with stylish images, without breaking the bank.

When it comes to choosing art for your home, it's so important to go with your instinct and buy what you love. When I'm designing a room, I love to have a mix of bespoke/unique work alongside more affordable prints. That way you can save up for one special piece that you can treasure for life, but then fill the majority of the wall space with something more affordable, which is why I love Desenio so much. They have a huge selection of prints - a lot Scandinavian in style (which I love), but a really big range, so there really is something for everyone.

For our flat in Notting Hill we commissioned Kristin Gaudio Endsley to paint a beautiful dyptich for above the fireplace in the sitting room and then chose one of my favourite pictures that Patrick took of Clapham Common, alongside vintage find from Goldborne Road and then I added this beautiful Kate Moss, Life is a Joke, print from Desenio, that I've had my eye on for a long time now.

For the rest of the flat I wanted to have fresh, light prints to compliment the colour palette throughout, so chose Blue Balloons poster and Hide. I'm so pleased with the prints and also super impressed with the price and speed of delivery of the prints and frames - the prices start from £2.95, so incredible value.
