New York Home Built from a Ship

Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying the glorious sunshine that we've been experiencing over the last few days. Summer appears to have arrived at last and long may it continue! One of my best friends is visiting me today from New York where she moved a couple of years ago - I'm so excited about our lunch by the beach and as a mini celebration I want to share this gorgeous cottage in Sagaponack, New York that was built in 1748 from from a ship's bowed hull! I adore the white, wooden finish throughout with the addition of vintage bits and pieces. The space is stylish with a hint of rustic, beach cottagey and overall a very calming space.
