Homes in France: Village House in Charente

Last week I was lucky enough to spend a few days in one of my favourite places in the world, France. P was photographing a wedding in a chateau just outside St Emilion and while he was working I pottered around bric a brac sales and antique shops dreaming of owning my own little chateau one day. I simply adore the french style – the dreamy houses, the shabby chic furniture, the pastel colours, the non-shabby chic fashion and of course the delicious food and wine! I have decided that in honour of the fabulous French style {and my growing obsession with it}, that I would start a section on Little Miss Homes dedicated to French houses so that you too can dream of owning one with me!

First up is this stunning and spacious Grand Charentais village property, with six bedrooms, three bathrooms, swimming pool, outbuildings and walled garden. The house has been beautifully restored retaining many features including original flagstone floors, sweeping staircase, marble fireplcace and outside there are outbuildings including a pigeonnière. It is situated in a village 20 minutes from Angoulême and the price is €439,900.

For more information on this amazing chateau visit www.frenchestateagents.com (ref 21573) and please email me if you know of any fab French properties for sale or rent that I can feature.
