The Great Outdoors: An English Country Garden

How can it be August already?? It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the New Year and it was a similar temperature then to what it is now in Mallorca!  We have experienced a very cool summer so far this year, with much more clouds and rain than normal.  On the plus side we have barely had to turn on the AC or fans and a day in the office is much more bearable; great for those of us living here, but not so great for the holidaymakers who currently fill the island...

One of the things I am so looking forward to back in England is having the clear, contrasting seasons – here it is pretty much sunshine every day all year round, which I know sounds like bliss and can be, but as with anything you get too much of, you do start to take it for granted after a while. I am excited about the colourful Autumn leaves, cosy Winter by the fire, daffodils and bluebells in Spring and lazy Summer garden parties. As these pictures show, when the weather is playing ball, there is nowhere more beautiful than England in the sunshine.  Have a lovely August!
