Interiors Inspiration: Scandinavian Simplicity
It's a beautiful sunny morning here in Dorset and after the thick fog of last week everything (including my mood!) is feeling much brighter and breezier today. To reflect the weather outside I have chosen this light and bright flat in Sweden for inspiration. I am such a fan of Scandinavian interiors and this flat really showcases all the typical elements perfectly. The use of natural colours and materials from stripped wooden floorboards to the rustic crate coffee table and fur rugs, combine with the soft greens and browns against a white backdrop to create a stylish and calm space. Other details I love include the simple white tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, the old cast iron radiators and the mix of modern with vintage among the furnishings. The owners have used the same flooring throughout, as well as the same tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, both which are great ways to make a flat or apartment feel more spacious and flow. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do!
