Homes Away From Home: Deutzia Cottage in Dorset

Deutzia Cottage dates from 17th Century and is situated in Dorset’s Hardy Country just two miles from the coast in the beautiful hamlet of Nottington. It is an archetypal English cottage, just the sort I'm dreaming of finding for my next renovation project, with roses around the door and chickens clucking at the bottom of the garden.

The attention to detail and luxury of the finish give the feel of a high end boutique hotel, but of course you have the quiet and privacy of being in your own home. The Jurassic coast and Chesil Beach are close by making it the perfect all-year-round getaway. It's also near to the village of Abbotsbury, which I adore as my grandparents lived there when I was a child and I have many happy memories of country and seaside walks followed by tea and cake in one of the village coffee shops. I think the owner of this cottage has done a fantastic job....it looks like heaven!
