Home Events: Brighten Up Your Day
Someone I met recently offered great advice for cheering yourself up on a rainy day...she told me to wear something yellow as then by simply looking at yourself in the mirror, your mood will be lifted. I think she's absolutely right and on my return to England will be on the lookout for some bright yellow wellies to keep me smiling through the winter!
Her comments also got me thinking about styling events, particularly UK-based ones, as the weather even in peak summer is highly unpredictable. One way to ensure a bright day whether rain or shine is to have a sunshine yellow theme and I just love some of the ideas from this wedding photographed by Punam Bean. The use of lemons for place cards is genius and the yellow door 'alter', homemade jam pots and use of vintage bits and bobs are all lovely touches.
