Designer Spotlight: Catherine Hammerton
This beautiful bijoux London flat featured earlier this year in Elle Decoration is the lovely home of designer Catherine Hammerton, a hugely talented British designer of bespoke wallpapers, fabrics and soft furnishings all based on vintage designs. As you can see from her gorgeous surroundings, she has a wonderful eye as well as huge talent.
Like me she is a natural magpie and can't get enough of trawling antique fairs, house and car boot sales in search of treasure...in her own words 'it's the lure of finding something so very beautiful, once lost and forgotten and giving it a new lease of life - on a wallpaper or cushion - gives it a new meaning and a precious quality once again.' Needless to say I simply adore her style, all her designs and her flat!
