Country Cottages in Hungary

I hope you had a wonderful weekend? We had a lovely quiet time pottering and trying to get things sorted at the new house. Our kitchen has been ripped out and there is dust everywhere, so we're trying to get the new kitchen installed as soon as possible not least because our takeaway bill is getting very high! I also spent a bit of time on Sunday afternoon daydreaming about sunshine...it's always this time of year that I begin to really struggle with the cold and grey...

Whilst daydreaming I came across the most magical place in Hungary, a country that I have never been to, but would absolutely love to visit. Catherine's Cottages are only an hour away from Budapest and are open all year round.

The British family that own this stunning collection of cottages also harvest their lavender and make a selection of beautiful homemade oils, soaps and body lotions as well as a selection of delicious sounding homemade jams, all of which you can try if you go and stay there.

The region is also famous for it's wine and with the cottages being set on a vineyard, I'm sure there's plenty of opportunity for trying that too! Spring break to Hungary anyone?
